Developers have put forward plans to bring a hospital in West Sussex that closed five years ago back into use.

City and Country Group, a restoration specialist, has submitted a planning application for the former King Edward VII hospital in Midhurst, a site surrounded by Sussex countryside.

The company wants to restore the Grade II listed buildings and build new houses and apartments.

Some residents have expressed concern about the size of the proposal.

City and Country Group is hosting a public meeting at Capron House in Midhurst later to discuss the plans.

The plans will go before Chichester District Council at a later date.
