Man stuck in River Adur mud rescued by Shoreham Coastguard

A man who became trapped in mud while digging for fishing bait in Sussex has been rescued.
The man got into difficulties in the mud at Shoreham-by-Sea at about 08:00 BST. He had been digging along the River Adur.
Crews from Shoreham Coastguard Search and Rescue, assisted by fire and ambulance teams, reached the man who had sunk up to his knees.
He was released and walked away to safety.
