Racist tweet sent to BBC football presenter Manish Bhasin

Manish Bhasin, presenter of the Football League Show, is coming to Middlesbrough for their game against Bournemouth

Police are investigating after a racist tweet was sent to BBC football presenter Manish Bhasin.

Mr Bhasin was speaking to Middlesbrough fans online ahead of his visit for the club's game against Bournemouth when a Twitter user sent the abusive message.

Other fans quickly condemned the Tweet and the account has now been deleted.

The Football League Show presenter said he would not judge Middlesbrough by "one moronic tweet. Always up for witty banter, just not that."

A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police confirmed a complaint had been received and they were investigating.
