Hartlepool: Victim named in anti-terrorism murder investigation

A man has died and another remains in hospital after an attack that is being investigated by counter-terrorism police.
Terrence Carney, 70, was pronounced dead at the scene after being found on Tees Street, Hartlepool, on Sunday morning.
Another man had already been discovered at a house in nearby Wharton Terrace, also in Hartlepool.
A man, 44, was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
Inquiries suggest that Mr Carney, from Hartlepool, had been a passer-by and had used a cash machine shortly before his death, police said.
A spokesperson for Counter Terrorism Policing North East and Cleveland Police added that their "thoughts and deepest sympathies" were with Mr Carney's "family and friends".
The surviving victim, whose age has not been released, has been taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Investigators wearing white hazmat suits were spotted entering the house in Wharton Terrace, where a police cordon remained on Monday morning.
The house was occupied by four men of different nationalities, the BBC has learned. Flowers have been left outside.
Counter Terrorism Police North East is leading the investigation.
Det Ch Supt James Dunkerley said: "From the inquiries undertaken so far, there is no evidence to suggest that there was any other person involved in the attack and, at this time, we are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
"Our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of the man killed yesterday, and our thoughts are with the man who remains in hospital."
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said that its officers were patrolling the area to reassure the community.
