Tom Jones to perform at Alnwick Castle

Tom Jones' career spans six decades

Tom Jones is to perform at a Northumberland tourist attraction.

The entertainer, who is also a long-standing coach on the TV series "The Voice", will appear at a special concert at Alnwick Castle on 8 August.

He will be performing a repertoire from his career, which spans six decades, and includes record sales of 100 million and 36 top 40 hits.

Alnwick Castle, the seat of the Duke of Northumberland, has featured in some of the Harry Potter films.

Concert organiser Neil Winterbottom said: "We are thrilled to be able to bring such a world-class star to one of the North East's iconic settings.

"Alnwick Castle will provide a perfect backdrop for a sensational concert."

Tickets go on sale on Monday.
