North East queens in Drag Race UK finale 'has been iconic'

An iconic moment for the North East drag scene as three queens battled it out to snatch the RuPaul's Drag Race UK crown.

Ginger Johnson, from County Durham, Tomara Thomas, from Hartlepool, and Michael Marouli, from Newcastle made the finale of season five.

We headed to Bobby's in Newcastle for a viewing party which raised funds for the Blue Sky Trust for World Aids Day.

Local drag queen and season three contestant Choriza May said they were all "excited" to see the North East being represented.
