Action pledged over fly-tipping in County Durham
- Published
Action has been promised to deter persistent fly-tippers from targeting an area of County Durham.
More than £25,000 has been allocated to fence off and secure an embankment in Chester-le-Street which has been the focus of concern from residents.
In recent months household rubbish, fridges, cookers and even a caravan have been dumped at the site, near Jacques Terrace.
Durham County Council said work on the project would start soon.
