A northern industrial cleaning company has opened a new southern hub in Swindon that is expected to create up to 20 jobs.

UK Commercial Cleaning Services says its new site on the Kembrey Park business park will give it access to cities including London and Bristol.

The company began in Tyne and Wear six years ago and also has a base in Leeds.

Swindon mayor Rex Barnett said the town had "a very strong track record of attracting inward investment".

Tony Earnshaw, the company's managing director, said: "Choosing Swindon as a hub for our operations in the south was an obvious choice as it gives UK Commercial Cleaning easy access to a number of key cities along the M4 corridor unlocking huge business potential."
