Swindon Link Centre pool to reopen after repairs

A swimming pool in Swindon is due to reopen on Monday after being closed since July for extensive renovations.
Retiling on the Link Centre pool was meant to take six weeks, but when contractors started, other more serious problems were found.
Cracks in concrete ducts around the pool and corroded pipes were just some of the issues discovered, with repairs carried out by specialists.
The local authority said the final cost of the work is about £300,000.
Keith Williams, Swindon Borough Council cabinet member for leisure, said he was "very excited" the pool was finally reopening.
He said: "I'm looking forward to enjoying what this great new pool is.
"What we'll have is actually a brand new pool in a really high quality environment, and one of the best new pools in Wiltshire."
A council spokesman said the refurbished pool is currently being filled with about 500,000 litres of water in time for its reopening.
A special preview event is due to take place on Sunday, with displays by the local Tigersharks swimming club.
The event will also be attended by current World Championship swimmer Jazmin Carlin, and GB Olympic squad swimmer Lewis Coleman.
