A swimming pool in Wiltshire which was shut after faulty refurbishment work is due to reopen next month.

The Westbury pool reopened in January after seven weeks of maintenance work but was closed again two months later.

Wiltshire Council appointed new contractors and improvement work on the pool is currently under way.

The authority will seek the full cost of repairs to the initial refurbishment work from the original contractor.

Head of leisure services, Robin Townsend, said: "We would like to apologise to all our users that the work has taken longer than anticipated. Our main priority has always been been to reopen the pool as soon as possible."
