Woman hit by road-sweeping vehicle in Swindon dies

The accident happened outside Arkells Brewery on Beechcroft Road in Swindon at about 16:30 GMT
A woman died when she was struck by a road-sweeping vehicle as she was on her way to collect her child from a minder.
Emergency crews were called to the scene outside Arkells Brewery on Beechcroft Road in Swindon at about 16:30 GMT.
Wiltshire Police said the 32-year-old woman from north Swindon died shortly after officers arrived. Her family has been informed.
The road remains closed while an investigation takes place.
