A four-year-old boy has died after a "serious medical incident" at a Center Parcs holiday resort, police have said.
The BBC has been told the incident happened in a swimming pool.
Wiltshire Police said officers attended the leisure complex at Longleat Forest in Wiltshire in support of the South Western Ambulance Service at about 11:00 GMT.
The force added the boy's death was not believed to be suspicious and its thoughts were with the child's family.
No further information about the nature of the incident was disclosed.
'Very difficult time'
A spokesman from Center Parcs said: "We are deeply saddened by the tragic news that a young guest has passed away.
"We are offering our support to the family and to our employees who provided immediate assistance.
"Our thoughts remain with the family at this very difficult time."
A holidaymaker staying at the Center Parcs site for Christmas told PA News agency there was a temporary barrier across the entrance to the pool.
The mother-of-five, from the Midlands, said the resort had made public announcements that the Subtropical Swimming Paradise water park would remain closed for Christmas Eve.
"If I hadn't been on the group or seen the announcement on the news, I'd have been none the wiser," she said.
"It's very quiet though... it does say there'll be an announcement later on today re the pool."
