A 25-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of an "amazing" father-of-one.

Tsvetomir Genov, 20, was stabbed to death in Gainsborough Close, Salisbury, on 22 August.

Maurice Jones, from Gainsborough Close, Bemerton Heath in the city, entered his plea at Winchester Crown Court.

He was remanded in custody until his trial, set to start in June, with a preliminary hearing expected in early March.

Mr Genov's family said in a statement through Wiltshire Police previously that it had been "hard and painful, sad and heartbreaking".

"We still don't want to believe he is not here anymore and he will never be back and we will never see his smile again, will not hear his voice, his little boy will have to grow up without his father."
