A police spokesman said investigations were "anticipated to last beyond the afternoon and evening peak"

The A303 near Stonehenge, in Wiltshire, has reopened after a woman died in a crash between a car and a lorry.

The road was closed in both directions for 18 hours between Longbarrow and Countess roundabouts following the fatal collision on Tuesday morning.

A woman in her 60s, from Bath, died at the scene after the car she was driving crashed with a lorry on the eastbound carriageway.

Her next of kin has been informed, police said.

The driver of the HGV was uninjured.
