Details have been approved for a planned housing development in a Wiltshire village.

The site in Bratton, near Westbury, will include 31 homes arranged in "barn like clusters".

Outline planning permission for the site, including three residential courtyards bordered by footpaths, was approved in 2022.

Wiltshire Council gave the full application the go-ahead at a meeting on Tuesday.

Out of the 31 properties, 12 will be considered affordable housing - seven will be affordable rent and five will be shared ownership, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.

During the consultation period, the local parish council said: "Bratton Parish Council are pleased to see the overall design that Ashford Homes have provided for the site, and appreciate the effort they have made to engage with the residents of the parish.

"We recognise the potential benefits that the development will bring to the viability of the Parish, including additional pupils for the village schools, custom for the village shop, the Duke public house and users of the two village halls."
