A350 in Melksham to close for three weeks for resurfacing work

Part of the A350 in Wiltshire is set to close every week night for three weeks whilst resurfacing work is carried out.
Wiltshire Council is closing the A350 Beanacre Road in Melksham from 19:00 to 06:00 GMT each weekday from Monday until 22 March.
The work is being carried out in three phases as part of the council's multimillion pound investment in roads.
Motorists are advised to check before they travel as diversions will be in place, external for the duration of the works.
The road will be open as usual during the daytime and at weekends.
Councillor Caroline Thomas apologised for any inconvenience but said "the road is deteriorating and this does need to be done.
"There is, of course, no good time to close a main road, but we are doing all we can to minimise disruption by completing the work in phases and at night, ensuring the road is fully open throughout the day and at weekends."
She added that the council was spending an extra £10m over the next two years resurfacing roads and filling potholes in the county.
"This is on top of the £20.7m we receive annually from the government, the £3.6m from the government's potholes fund, and £5.2m over the next two years from the Road Resurfacing Fund," she said.
