Soldiers return marked by parade in Ripon

Hundreds of soldiers have marched through Ripon to mark their return from a tour in Afghanistan which saw four men from the regiment killed.

Troops from 21 Engineer Regiment based at the city's Claro Barracks took part in the homecoming parade on Wednesday.

During the regiment's time in Helmand L/Cpl Barry Buxton was killed along with Sappers Daryn Roy, Darren Foster and Ishwor Gurung.

The parade was followed by a service of thanksgiving at Ripon Cathedral.
