Flood warnings issued for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire after heavy rain

Flood warnings have been issued in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire following heavy rain.
The Environment Agency (EA) has issued 10 flood warnings in North Yorkshire, with river levels rising on the River Ouse in York.
Meanwhile, five warnings are in place on the River Trent in Lincolnshire, with two issued in East Yorkshire.
The agency said river levels would remain high with further rain forecast on Friday afternoon.
A number of weather warnings were issued across the UK on Thursday evening with the Met Office predicting some areas could see up to 80mm (3.1in) of rainfall.
The forecaster said rain had been falling on ground that was already sodden, with melting snow also increasing the risk of flooding.
It warned that travel by road and rail was likely to be disrupted.
The EA said it was "constantly monitoring river levels and had staff in the field checking for blockages".
