Police have made an appeal to trace a 40-year-old man after the victim of an attack in Staithes died.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment to head injuries following the attack on 13 March, but has since died, North Yorkshire Police said.
Officers have appealed for Huw Owen, from Scarborough, to come forward, saying police believe he will have information to help their inquiries.
Anyone who sees Mr Owen should contact police immediately, the force said.
