Two suspects are being questioned on suspicion of human trafficking for sexual exploitation

Two people have been charged after a 29-year-old woman was rescued during an investigation into human trafficking.

Police searches were carried out after concerns were raised about a woman's safety in the Dungannon area earlier this week.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with rape, human trafficking, controlling prostitution, and kidnapping.

A 20-year-old woman has been charged with human trafficking, controlling prostitution and kidnapping.

Both are to appear at Strabane Magistrates' Court later on Thursday.
