- Published
Police have begun a murder investigation after a man was stabbed in Gilford, County Down, in the early hours of Saturday.
Eamonn Darren O'Hanlon, from north Belfast, was stabbed outside an address on Hill Street and later died from his injuries, police said.
Four people have been arrested and police said all suspects remained in custody on Saturday afternoon.
Police have asked witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
Whole community shocked
Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon councillor, Paul Greenfield, said the local community was stunned at the news.
"Gilford is a lovely village just settled in between Portadown and Banbridge with a great mix of residents who work well and get on well locally together," he said.
"It's usually a very quiet area and certainly it's a bit of a shock to the whole community here in Gilford."
Mr Greenfield also extended his sympathies to the victim's family who are dealing with the "death of a young man in tragic circumstances".
