Belfast: Man taken to hospital after gun attack

A man has been taken to hospital after being shot in both legs in north Belfast.

Police received a report of the incident on the Antrim Road at about 22:15 BST on Wednesday.

North Belfast assembly member Carál Ní Chuilín said the attack happened in a flat and residents in the building were "traumatised".

Cordons were put in the place around the scene. Police have appealed for information.
