Belfast: Man released on bail after person hit by car

The assault took place on the Forthriver Road in the north of the city on Sunday morning

A man who was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving in north Belfast has been released on bail.

Police said the incident happened during an assault involving two men on the Forthriver Road on Sunday.

One man - who police said was armed with a knife - was taken to hospital after he was hit by a vehicle.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
