SEN protest: 'My child is being failed in special education'

A protest has been held at Stormont by families of children with special educational needs (SEN) who are concerned by impact of school strikes.

School support staff held eight days of strikes so far this year in a dispute over pay, which disproportionately affected special schools.

Monday's demonstration was organised by the Colin Autism Advice and Support group, based in west Belfast.

Its members have called on politicians to ensure school support staff are properly paid so strike action can end.
