Lisburn: Teenager arrested after stabbing released on bail

A 15-year-old boy who was arrested after a stabbing in Lisburn has been released on bail.

The stabbing happened near a shop in Knockmore Road at about 19:40 GMT on Monday.

Police said a 14-year-old boy was approached by a group of teenagers and was then attacked and stabbed in the lower back.

The boy was taken to hospital and officers added that his condition was not believed to be life-threatening.

The 15-year-old was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of a number of offences including assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offence weapon with intent.
