'The thought of going into a care home scares me'
A man born without hands or legs has been told he will soon no longer get a daily visit from a care worker to help him shower and get dressed.
DJ Calvert's mum had been helping him but when she took ill, he got a care package.
Mr Calvert, from Portstewart, County Londonderry, relies on a daily visit from a care worker to help him with basic hygiene and personal care.
However, he was told he would no longer be getting help and that if the trust could not get an alternative care provider, the last resort would be going into a care home.
The 49-year-old said that would be the end of his independence.
The Northern Health Trust said it was "urgently seeking an alternative care provider".
