Adoption league tables: Hackney Council record explained

The director of Children's Services in Hackney, listed at the bottom of the government league table for the number of children adopted within 12 months, said its record was "actually very very good".

Alan Wood said the data was two years out of date, as he explained the complexities of their work, and there were lots of people in the borough who wanted to be adoptive parents.

He spoke to Jo Coburn after her interview with children's minister Tim Loughton.
