Executive pay debate: Horlick, Johnson, Portillo

Shareholders should take more action to control the top pay in British businesses, said fund manager Nicola Horlick, and Michael Portillo said they were not doing their job.

Labour's Alan Johnson said the ratio between top and bottom and earners in firms was widening, with pressure from managers for even bigger rises.
