Historian Dan Snow on Goodwin, Raleigh and Churchill
Dan Snow explained how Fred Goodwin was not the first person to fall from grace and how history shows more famous faces have also lost their titles.
The historian said Sir Walter Raleigh also saw his fortunes change under a new regime, but also how Bomber Harris, Nelson and Sir Winston Churchill fared well after taking great risks.
Mr Snow said luck played a great part and added: "Our honours system is clearly slightly absurd."
