PMQs: Cameron and Miliband on bank bonuses and reforms

David Cameron claimed his government had the "toughest and most transparent regime of any major financial centre in the world" and banks would publish the pay of their top eight executives.

Ed Miliband accused him of a lack of leadership and repeated the words of George Osborne, while in opposition, calling for names and salaries of top earners in banks to be published.

But the prime minister said it was the last Labour government which approved an RBS bonus pool of £1.3bn. He accused the Labour leader of "hypocrisy" but was later told to withdraw the word by the Speaker.

They clashed over bonuses at RBS hours after Fred Goodwin was stripped of his knighthood.
