Navy and defence jobs: Stewart Maxwell and Jim Murphy
The SNP's Stewart Maxwell said naval yards on the Clyde win shipbuilding work because they deliver on time and on budget.
He said it would be "nonsensical" not to give them work in a post-independence Scotland as they already worked on contracts around the globe.
But Labour's Jim Murphy said the UK had never built a warship outside the UK, and he claimed the SNP "has not got an answer" on the issue.
They spoke after Gerald Vernon-Jackson's film calling for no further UK work to go to Scotland until the independence issue was finalised.
