Scottish Referendum: Nicola Sturgeon on independence talks

Scotland's deputy first minister said she was confident of an agreement with the UK government over the question to be put to Scottish voters in the independence referendum planned for 2014.

Nicola Sturgeon said the referendum must be "made and built in Scotland", and added that she was pleased with the "nature and tone" of the negotiations.

Holyrood's new constitution minister also repeated her support for 16 and 17-year-olds voting in the referendum and all elections in Scotland.

When asked about the success of Team GB and ParalympicsGB at the London 2012 games, she claimed: "You can be a proud Scot and not support independence - I also believe you can feel British and support independence".
