UKIP's deputy leader did not rule out a pact with the Tories in future elections, as figures show the two parties could be splitting the eurosceptic vote.

Paul Nuttall, an MEP for the party, said: "You never say never in politics" when Andrew Neil asked if the two parties could work together.

Former TV Apprentice Katie Hopkins, from the new I Want a Referendum Party, claimed UKIP talked a lot, but did not deliver, and said her group was looking for cross-party support.

Journalist Toby Young predicted UKIP would top the 2014 European election polls, and said he would vote for it if David Cameron had not committed to an in/out referendum on the UK's future in Europe.

Their debate followed a Daily Politics flim looking at a possible pact between UKIP and the Tories.
