Lords Forsyth and Wallace on lowering voting age to 16

The House of Lords has looked at allowing 16 and 17-year-olds the vote ahead of the Scottish independence poll expected in 2014, and how this could affect other polls across the UK.

David Cameron and Alex Salmond are meeting on Monday and look set to agree a deal on a referendum, which could include a lower voting age.

Former Scottish Secretary Lord Forsyth and Lord Wallace, the Advocate General for Scotland, debated the issue in the Lords on Tuesday.
