Child benefit changes criticised by Tory MP Mark Field

A Conservative MP has criticised planned changes by the coalition government to child benefits for people earning more than £50,000.

Mark Field said the plans were "almost a tax on aspiration" and warned there were "some big institutional problems with this policy'"

The MP for the Cities of London and Westminster told Andrew Neil the change may be delayed until the start of the next financial year, and it would not save the money the government had suggested.
