Scottish independence: SNP MSP on referendum question

The SNP was "absolutely delighted" with the wording of the referendum question to be put to the Scottish people next year after the Electoral Commission called for a change, said Annabelle Ewing.

The MSP and referendum committee member claimed "we have the arguments on our side".

The question will now be: "Should Scotland be an independent country?"

Asked about an independent Scotland joining the EU, she said the UK was refusing to hold talks in Brussels, while the Scottish people "prefer to be inside the club, rather than outside the club".
