NHS whistleblower Gary Walker spoke of the "personal threats to me, personal threats to my staff" from senior people, and how he was "forced out" from his job as United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust chief executive.

His former line manager David Bowles, who resigned as trust chairman in 2009, claimed there was a "bullying brutal culture" and as they told the BBC about their appearance before the Health Select Committee on Tuesday.

MPs were hearing evidence on the Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust Public Inquiry.
