Tory MP Alun Cairns reports Damian McBride to police

A Conservative MP has called on police to investigate former Labour spin doctor Damian McBride over claims made in his book about his time serving Gordon Brown.

Alun Cairns said the Metropolitan Police should look at whether there were offences under the Computer Misuse Act and Official Secrets Act.

He said Ed Miliband and Ed Balls were associated with Mr McBride, and added: "Let's find out what they knew and what they didn't know".
