Sports to politics: Coe, Thompson and Campbell

Sports stars offer tenacity, sportsmanship, endurance, and these skills could have helped a few of them move into a career as politicians.

Olympic athlete Christopher Chataway, who died this week, is among a number of sportsmen and women, including Sir Menzies Campbell, Sebastian Coe and Tanni-Gray Thompson, to have moved from the world of sport into political life.
