Budget 2014: Duty cut on beer, frozen on whisky and cider
Chancellor George Osborne has announced that duty on beer is to be cut by 1p a pint.
He also said he will freeze duty on whisky and ordinary cider, but increase tobacco duty at 2% above inflation.
Delivering his Budget in the House of Commons he said duty on other alcohols will rise with inflation after scrapping the alcohol duty escalator.
