Newspaper political cartoons from World War One
Political cartoons today can highlight claims of political inadequacies and provide a sideways look at current affairs.
But during World War One, they had more of a message to satirise and debunk the German threat and raising British spirits.
The Daily Politics looked at a series of modern cartoons looking at the run-up to war a century ago, and some images from the era, with the Guardian's Steve Bell, along with Anthony Seldon, Master of Wellington College.
