RSPB and Wildlife Trust call on MPs to look at nature

Wildlife campaigners and people from the countryside headed to Westminster in a bid to move nature up the Parliamentary agenda.

The RSPB's Martin Harper said the Autumn Statement focussed minds on the economic deficit last week, but there was an "ecological deficit and it is being ignored"

He spoke to Giles Dilnot on the Daily Politics along with the Wildlife Trust's Steve Trotter who said there was a "major disconnection of people with the environment" and it was affecting public health.
