PMQs: Starmer and Johnson on energy loans and rising costs
Labour had said average energy bills are going up by £700, but people would be faced with a "forced" £200 loan, in a government gamble that "looked certain to fail".
He asked when the government would backtrack on that policy as prices continued to rise.
Boris Johnson reminded him there would be an energy independence plan in the next few days, and the PM claimed that would partly deal with Labour failing to invest in nuclear power.
