Rishi Sunak: 'Will not comment on HS2 speculation'

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has refused to confirm if the HS2 rail link will ever make it to Manchester.

In an interview on the first day of the Conservative Party conference, he told the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg: "We have got spades in the ground, I am not going to comment on further speculation."
