'Sub-postmasters never stood a chance' with Westminster - SNP's Stephen Flynn
The SNP's Westminster leader, Stephen Flynn, said the Horizon system scandal was "defended" by the current Liberal Democrats leader Sir Ed Davey and others who have since been knighted and put in the House of Lords, including Sir Tony Blair.
Mr Flynn said Post Office staff "never stood a chance against the Westminster establishment".
Rishi Sunak said this was "one of the greatest miscarriages" in British history and "multiple people" had been at fault. Mr Sunak had just announced a bill to overturn the convictions of hundreds of Post Office staff since 1999, adding “we must go further and faster”.
