Starmer: How can 'nothing stop another Couzens'?
On the anniversary of the murder of Sarah Everard, Labour called out the “appalling failure” in police vetting.
Referring to her killer, he questioned the finding in Lady Angelini’s report into the death which found there was “nothing to stop another Couzens operating in plain sight”.
Rishi Sunak said “we took action quickly” to strengthen police vetting with the largest screening officers and staff.
