Glasgow 2014: Hazel's story of sight loss inspiration

The Commonwealth Games baton has been travelling from south west Scotland into Ayrshire.

Baton bearer Hazel McFarlane has been carrying it through Troon.

The ultra-runner, who last year became the first blind person to run the Glasgow to Edinburgh double marathon, was born with a degenerative eye condition.

Hazel lost her sight completely in 2007 and has been telling BBC Scotland how she used her experience to develop and raise funds for vision support services.
