John Swinney says he is 'optimistic' that lockdown restrictions will be eased in Glasgow

John Swinney has said he is 'optimistic' that lockdown restrictions will be eased in Glasgow, possibly by the end of this week - ahead of the Euro 2020 tournament.

The deputy first minister told BBC Scotland's The Sunday Show "that's the direction we think we are heading in," but cautioned that work continues to suppress rates of Covid-19 in the city.
