Lightning strikes light up Scottish skies

Lightning has lit up the skies over parts of Scotland in the early hours of 15 August.

Thunderstorms and flash flooding are forecast for parts of the UK in the wake of the recent heatwave. The extreme weather comes after large parts of southern, central and eastern England were declared drought areas.
