St Abb's seal pup numbers recover after 'horrific' Storm Arwen
A nature reserve ranger says seal pup numbers are recovering after being devastated in last year's Storm Arwen.
At St Abb's Head, in the Scottish Borders, a large proportion of pups died after the intense storm hit in November last year.
But National Trust for Scotland ranger Ciaran Hatsell says early signs are that the number of pups is bouncing back, mainly because the majority of the breeding age seals in the colony survived.
